Man Charged After Brawl at Under-17s Soccer Match in Sydney
A 47-year-old man from Greenacre has been charged by New South Wales Police in connection with a brawl at an under-17s boys soccer match in Revesby, Sydney.
Incident Details
The incident occurred at approximately 3:30 pm on Saturday at a park on Iluka Street, identified by a second source as Amour Park.
According to police reports, a fight broke out between players, after which a number of spectators entered the field.
An 18-year-old man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics for injuries including a bite to his back. He was subsequently taken to Liverpool Hospital for further treatment.
Arrest and Charges
The 47-year-old man was arrested on Sunday and taken to Bankstown Police Station. He has been charged with affray and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
Court Proceedings
The man was granted conditional bail. He is scheduled to appear at Bankstown Local Court on June 25.
