BKFC 90 delivered a Saturday afternoon of brutal action from the Utilita Arena in Birmingham, England, headlined by a grudge match for the interim welterweight title and the long-awaited BKFC debut of UFC veteran Darren Till.
Main Event: Redemption Served Cold
Connor Tierney def. Rico Franco via fourth-round TKO (1:20) – interim BKFC welterweight title
The main event was a story of revenge. Tierney, who lost to Franco via first-round KO at BKB 16 over six years ago, got his payback in stunning fashion. After a competitive fight, Tierney found the finish in the fourth round, forcing the referee to step in and claim the interim BKFC welterweight championship.
A Star is Bare-Knuckle Born
Darren Till def. Aaron Chalmers via first-round KO (2:29)
Darren Till made a massive statement in his BKFC debut. The former UFC title challenger needed less than three minutes to dispatch the more experienced Chalmers. Till dropped Chalmers with a devastating right hand, and while Chalmers beat the count, he was met with a relentless flurry of punches that forced the referee to wave it off. It was a powerful introduction to the squared circle.
