Anthropic Raises $65 Billion at $965 Billion Valuation, Adding Seven Billionaire Co-Founders

Seven co-founders of the AI company join the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, with siblings Dario and Daniela Amodei each holding stakes worth approximately $8 billion.

Anthropic, the artificial intelligence company founded in 2021, has raised $65 billion at a staggering $965 billion valuation. The massive funding round has catapulted seven of its co-founders onto the Bloomberg Billionaires Index for the first time.

The new billionaires include siblings Dario Amodei (CEO) and Daniela Amodei, each with stakes valued at roughly $8 billion. They are joined by co-founders Tom Brown, Jack Clark, Jared Kaplan, Sam McCandlish, and Christopher Olah.

A major step toward public markets

The company has confidentially submitted paperwork for a public listing. The number of shares and the offering price have not yet been set. Anthropic expects to report $10.9 billion in revenue for the second quarter.

A pledge for philanthropy

The co-founders have pledged to give away 80% of their fortunes.

CEO Dario Amodei has publicly expressed concerns about wealth concentration in the AI industry, signaling a commitment to redistributing the vast fortunes generated by the company's success.
