Australian & Canadian Firms Partner for Satellite Intelligence
A new partnership between Australian company Geospatial Intelligence and Canadian firm EarthDaily will provide Australian clients with access to advanced satellite data and analytics.
The Deal at a Glance
EarthDaily currently operates seven satellites, with a planned constellation of 10 spacecraft scheduled for completion in the second half of 2026.
Geospatial Intelligence, based in Canberra, serves clients across defense, security, and the environment, with a particular focus on government users.
"The world doesn't need more imagery. It needs trusted, consistent measurement."
— Don Osborne, CEO of EarthDaily
Osborne added that the company aims to deliver "AI-ready geospatial intelligence at scale."
Technical Edge
EarthDaily was founded in 2021 and launched its first satellite (EDC-01) in 2024, with six more (EDC-02 to EDC-07) following in early 2025. Its first high-resolution images were released in March 2025.
Built to Measure Change
"Most Earth observation systems were built to capture images. We built EarthDaily to measure change."
— Don Osborne, CEO of EarthDaily
The company claims its spacecraft have one of the highest pixel-processing capacities in orbit, digitizing over 20 billion pixels per second. Each satellite covers 22 spectral bands, with:
- 16 multispectral imagers: 12 visible and near infrared (VNIR), two short wave infrared (SWIR), and two thermal infrared (LWIR)
- Plus visible spectrum capabilities
EarthDaily also claims to be the first commercial Earth observation satellite constellation operator to achieve CEOS Analysis Ready Data compliance.
