Jackson Building Rapport with New Coaching Staff in Baltimore

Lamar Jackson is strengthening his connection with new defensive coordinator Zach Minter, who previously served as a defensive assistant coach in Baltimore from 2017-2020.

Head Coach Interview Experience

Jackson participated in the interview process for the new head coach, which he described as a "great experience." He thanked Owner Steve Bisciotti and General Manager Eric DeCosta for the opportunity.

Jackson also called it "awesome" that Minter and new Offensive Coordinator Declan Doyle visited him in Florida shortly after being hired.

According to Jackson, Minter has remained consistent since the interview process. Jackson praised his demeanor, noting:

During Wednesday's practice, Jackson was intercepted once by Nate Wiggins, but turned in a strong overall performance.

Offseason Attendance & Transition

Minter stated that Jackson has "done great" transitioning to the new offense, noting that Jackson has been present at the facility frequently and is becoming familiar with plays at game speed against the defense.

Jackson, who has not always attended OTAs in the past, is participating this week and has been around the facility often this offseason. He attributed this to:

• Learning the new offensive system
• Adjusting to new terminology and timing
• Enjoying the positive atmosphere
