Milwaukee, WI – The Milwaukee Brewers defeated the St. Louis Cardinals 5-1 on Monday night, powered by a historic pitching performance from Jacob Misiorowski.

Misiorowski threw 57 pitches of at least 100 mph, the most in a single game since pitch tracking began in 2008.

A Near-Perfect Gem

Jacob Misiorowski (5-2) was dominant, tying a career high with 12 strikeouts. He carried a no-hitter into the sixth inning, ultimately allowing just one run, two hits, and one walk over seven innings. The outing lowered his ERA to 1.83. His top velocity reached 103.4 mph.

The Cardinals' first hit came on a bloop single by Pedro Pagés to lead off the sixth. St. Louis scored a run later in the inning, ending Misiorowski's scoreless streak at 29 1/3 innings.

Early Offense, Late Insurance

Christian Yelich hit a two-run home run in the first inning to give the Brewers an early lead. Andrew Vaughn went 3 for 4 with an RBI double.

The Brewers took a 3-0 lead in the first inning off Cardinals starter Matthew Liberatore (2-3). Liberatore allowed three runs (two earned) over five innings while striking out a career-high 10 batters.

Milwaukee added runs in the sixth and seventh innings against reliever Brycen Mautz, who was making his MLB debut.
