Incident at Ginza Six: Suspected Chemical Exposure
Over 20 people were taken to hospital after a man reportedly sprayed a substance at an ATM in the Ginza Six shopping complex in Tokyo.
The incident occurred on the ground floor of the upscale complex. Victims reported throat pain and mild discomfort. The road in front of the building was temporarily blocked off as emergency services responded.
"A 70-year-old woman reported throat stinging and numbness near the ATM. A 78-year-old man experienced throat pain and coughing, which subsided after an hour."
Emergency Response
The Tokyo Fire Department and police investigated the scene. Officials in hazmat suits assisted affected individuals, and the area was secured. The suspect remains unidentified.
