BERLIN — Sevim Dağdelen, a member of the far-left Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance, expressed support for President Trump's decision to reduce U.S. troop presence in Germany.
"While I am grateful for US assistance in World War II, I believe it is time for American soldiers to leave Germany after 81 years," Dağdelen stated.
The remarks highlight ongoing debate within German politics about the continued U.S. military footprint in the country, decades after the end of the Cold War.
