HBF Run For A Reason Prompts Major CBD Road Closures

The HBF Run For A Reason took place on Sunday morning, resulting in extensive road closures across the Perth CBD and surrounding suburbs.

Road closures were implemented across the Perth CBD and surrounding suburbs. William Street was closed from 11pm on Saturday for event infrastructure setup, with additional closures beginning from 4am on Sunday. Tow-away zones and parking restrictions were enforced along the course.

Affected Roads

Sections of St Georges Terrace and Adelaide Terrace westbound, Riverside Drive, and Wellington Street remained open with detours.

Traffic Advice

Authorities stated the quickest route out of the CBD is via Wellington Street northbound. Southbound Kwinana Freeway traffic was advised to detour east via Graham Farmer Freeway to Great Eastern Highway. Those continuing south were advised to use Canning Highway and rejoin the freeway at Canning Bridge.

Reopening

All roads were expected to reopen by 1pm on Sunday.
