Man Charged After Pointing Replica Pistol at Commuters in Sydney

Lidcombe Railway Station, Sydney — A 29-year-old man has been charged following an incident at Lidcombe Railway Station yesterday afternoon.

Around 5:30pm, the man allegedly pointed a pistol at commuters waiting at the station. He then boarded a train heading to Bankstown.

Police arrested him at Bankstown station and recovered a replica pistol, which has been taken for forensic examination.

The man was charged with affray and possessing an unauthorised pistol. He was refused bail and is scheduled to appear before the Bail Division Local Court today.
