Cavaliers Issue Fan Guidelines for Crucial Game 3 Against Knicks

The Cleveland Cavaliers have released a strict set of guidelines for fans attending Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the New York Knicks at Rocket Arena on Saturday. The team posted the five-point playbook on social media, aiming to turn home-court advantage into a decisive factor.

"Wear the shirt provided by the team from start to finish."

The guidelines also call for fans to:

  • Drown out opposing team introductions with "Let's Go Cavs!" chants
  • Shout "Defense" when the opponent has the ball
  • Distract the opponent during free throws
  • Maintain energy and wave rally towels during the fourth quarter

The stakes are high. The Knicks currently lead the series 2-0, having taken Game 1 in overtime after erasing a 22-point fourth-quarter deficit, and winning Game 2 with a 109-93 score.

A significant number of tickets are in enemy hands. According to TickPick, 41.7 percent of ticket purchases for Game 3 come from New York and New Jersey, making the fan-energy directive especially critical.

History offers some hope for Cleveland. The Cavaliers have a 6-1 home record in the playoffs this year. They previously faced a 2-0 deficit in the second round against the Detroit Pistons, responding with two straight home wins before ultimately winning the series in seven games.
