Samsung begins rolling out the stable One UI 8.5 update to the Galaxy S24 Ultra and other eligible devices.
Key Changes
Quick Panel
The quick panel is now highly customizable. Users can edit the size and placement of toggles, and remove unwanted toggles entirely.
Gallery App
The Gallery app now features a floating menu bar at the bottom with a blur effect. This redesign is primarily aesthetic; functionality remains largely unchanged.
Camera
The update introduces few camera changes. According to reports, the Galaxy S24 Ultra does not receive 24-megapixel support, the horizontal lock feature, or the APV codec. The absence of the APV codec is attributed to a chipset limitation.
Some One UI 8.5 features present on other devices are not included in this update for the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
