Trump Unsure About Attending Son’s Wedding Amid Iran Tensions

President Donald Trump said on Thursday that he is uncertain whether he will attend the wedding of his son, Donald Trump Jr., to Bettina Anderson in the Bahamas.

"That's one I can't win on. If I do attend, I get killed. If I don't attend, I get killed."

During a Q&A session in the Oval Office, Trump explained his dilemma:

"Uhhhh. He'd like me to go. I'm gonna try and make it. But it's going to be a just a small, little private affair. … I said, 'This is not good timing for me. I have a thing called "Iran" and other things.' "

The president acknowledged the media scrutiny surrounding his decision, adding that he faces criticism regardless of his choice.

Relationship Background

Donald Trump Jr. and Bettina Anderson reportedly began their relationship in 2024, while Trump Jr. was still engaged to Kimberly Guilfoyle. Trump stated he has known Anderson for a long time, though the relationship is recent. He described the upcoming wedding as a small, private affair.

Trump himself has been married three times.

Broader Context

The president's scheduling conflict comes amid ongoing military actions that Trump initiated against Iran.

Notably, Trump has golfed approximately one out of every five days during his presidency, according to public records.
