A 27-year-old man, Nabeel Qaisir from Salisbury, has been charged with multiple sexual offences following an alleged break-in and sexual assault at a residence in Mount Pleasant, South Australia.
Police stated that the arrested man and the victim are not known to each other.
Charges
- Five counts of sexual intercourse without consent
- One count of indecent assault
- One count of aggravated serious criminal trespass
According to court documents, the alleged offences occurred between 18 May 2026 and 21 May 2026 at Mount Pleasant.
Arrest and Court Appearance
Police were called to the property just before 3am on Wednesday. Qaisir was arrested in the Adelaide Hills town around 10:30am the same day.
He appeared in Adelaide Magistrates Court with his head wrapped in bloodied bandages and did not speak during the hearing. He did not apply for bail and was remanded in custody until his next court appearance in October.
Investigation
Police initially reported they were searching for a white 2000 Mazda Bravo ute believed to have been used by the suspect. They later said the vehicle was not believed to be connected to the incident, but it had been found in the north-eastern suburbs and seized for forensic testing.
