A hybrid car caught fire in Lower Manhattan on Tuesday afternoon, outside the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) headquarters, near Wall Street's iconic Charging Bull statue. The blaze produced a large fireball and thick black smoke, leading to immediate evacuations of the surrounding area.

Firefighters responded to the scene at approximately 17:42 EDT and successfully extinguished the flames by 18:45 EDT.

No injuries were reported. Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fire, which is believed to be an electrical fault.
