A Queensland woman, Larissa Rita Mae-Leigh Sant, has been committed to stand trial for the murder of Kiesha Thompson, who was killed in a hit-and-run south of Brisbane on July 19, 2024.

At a committal hearing in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Thursday, evidence was heard from seven witnesses. The Magistrate ruled that Sant will face trial for aggravated murder, classified as a domestic violence offense. Sant entered a plea of not guilty.

- Rachel Sok, a nearby resident, reported hearing a loud screeching noise and then seeing a four-wheel-drive speed away before finding the victim.
- Fiona Winterburn, who was walking her dog, described hearing a bang and seeing a car fishtail, then drive back with a woman driver wearing a dark hood and large sunglasses.
- Angela Williams testified she saw a woman with tied-up hair leave a vehicle, call out, then return while on the phone.
Background
Sant has been out on bail since December 2024 under strict conditions, including curfew, limited phone use, and regular police reporting. Her defense lawyer declined to discuss the case.
