BMW M Division Announces 2027 M3 CS Handschalter
A purist’s send-off for the current M3 generation.
Limited Production, Manual Gearbox, Rear-Wheel Drive
The BMW M division has officially confirmed the 2027 M3 CS Handschalter, a special edition model destined for North America. True to its name, the car is equipped with a six-speed manual transmission and rear-wheel drive—a deliberate departure from the all-wheel-drive, automatic version found in the 2024 M3 CS.
“This is the final model for the current M3 generation before the next-generation Neue Klasse M3 is revealed.”
Production and Pricing
Production will be strictly limited, with deliveries in both the United States and Canada commencing in fall 2026. Despite its exclusive nature and send-off status, BMW has priced the Handschalter lower than the all-wheel-drive automatic variant, appealing to driving enthusiasts seeking a more analog experience.
Key Highlights:
- Drivetrain: Six-speed manual / rear-wheel drive
- Availability: United States & Canada
