Vehicle Incident in East Oakland Kills Three, Injures Others
A juvenile driver has been arrested after a vehicle reportedly jumped a sidewalk near International Boulevard and 85th Avenue, striking multiple pedestrians late Saturday night.
Incident Timeline
The event occurred around 11:15 p.m. near the intersection of International Boulevard and 85th Avenue. According to police reports, a vehicle traveling at high speed struck a parked vehicle and multiple pedestrians.

- The incident began with a collision between a blue vehicle and a black SUV outside the East Bay Market Liquor Store.
- Following the initial collision, the SUV accelerated onto the sidewalk, striking pedestrians, before subsequently hitting another car.
Casualties and Response
Three pedestrians were killed as a result of the incident. Three additional individuals sustained injuries. Some of the injured survivors were transported to local hospitals for treatment.
Suspect and Investigation
The driver of the SUV, identified as a juvenile, was arrested. According to witness Cornelius Reed, the driver exited the vehicle and attempted to flee the scene but was apprehended by bystanders before law enforcement arrived. Reed also stated that he attempted to assist the injured, several of whom he knew.
The Oakland Police Department is conducting an investigation into the incident. It is currently unknown whether alcohol or drugs were involved. The identities of the victims have not been released. No official statement regarding the suspect has been issued at this time.
