Man Abducted from Home, Found Dead Hours Away in Melbourne

A 30-year-old man was abducted from a residence in South Morang early Friday morning and later found deceased in a park in Tarneit. The Homicide Squad is investigating the incident.
Incident Timeline
At approximately 3:00 AM, multiple male offenders exited a dark-colored vehicle and forced entry into a home on Darius Terrace in South Morang. The offenders, armed with machetes, assaulted the sleeping victim and forced him into the vehicle.
At approximately 4:30 AM, the victim's body was discovered in a park off Bruny Drive in Tarneit — approximately one hour's drive from the abduction location.
Persons Present
Two children and another adult male were inside the South Morang home at the time of the incident. None of them sustained physical injuries.
Investigation Status
The Homicide Squad is investigating. No arrests have been made. A post-mortem examination will determine the cause of death.
Police are also examining a vehicle destroyed by fire in Eynesbury for possible connections to the incident.

Public Appeal
Police are seeking dashcam footage from vehicles traveling in the South Morang and Tarneit areas between 3:00 AM and 4:30 AM, particularly footage showing a dark-colored small SUV.
