Billionaire Stephen Cloobeck Arrested on Felony Warrant in Witness Intimidation Case

Stephen Cloobeck, a billionaire and former candidate for governor of California, was arrested on June 10, 2025, in West Hollywood on an outstanding felony warrant. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department confirmed the warrant relates to alleged violation of dissuading or intimidating a witness or victim of a crime.

He turned himself in at a LASD station and was released the same day after posting $300,000 bail. The investigation is being conducted by the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff's Station and the Los Angeles Police Department in connection with the Adva Lavie case.

Context of the Case

Adva Lavie, also known as Mia Ventura, is a model accused of meeting men online and burglarizing their homes. In March 2025, she was ordered to stand trial on six felony charges:

  • Two counts of unauthorized use of personal identifying information
  • Two counts of grand theft
  • One count of first-degree residential burglary with person present
  • One count of first-degree residential burglary

She has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Relationship to Cloobeck

Eyewitness News reported that Cloobeck was romantically involved with Lavie, though the status of that relationship is unclear.

The warrant for Cloobeck's arrest stems directly from the ongoing investigation into Lavie's alleged crimes. Authorities have not released further details regarding the specific allegations of witness or victim intimidation.
