Laptop Manufacturers Unveil New Models and Concepts at CES 2026

At CES 2026, several laptop manufacturers announced upcoming products, including new productivity machines, updated gaming notebooks, and concept devices. These announcements detail new processors, advanced display technologies, and design innovations across various product lines.

Lenovo Introduces Rollable Concepts

Lenovo presented two concept devices at the event:

  • Legion Pro Rollable: A gaming laptop concept featuring a flexible OLED panel designed to expand from 16 inches to 21.5 or 23.8 inches, offering aspect ratios of 16:10, 21:9, or 24:9.
  • XD Rollable: This concept device showcases a 13.3-inch OLED screen that expands to 16 inches. The additional display area wraps around the back of the lid, creating a secondary, world-facing surface.

Samsung Galaxy Book6 Series Features Panther Lake Chips

Samsung unveiled its Galaxy Book6, Book6 Pro, and Book6 Ultra series, integrating Intel’s Panther Lake chips. The series emphasizes slimmer designs, enhanced thermal management, and extended battery life, with Samsung reporting up to 30 hours of video playback for the Book6 Ultra and Pro.

Key specifications include:

  • Galaxy Book6 Ultra (16-inch): Configurations are available with up to Intel Core Ultra X9 processors, Intel Arc graphics, and NVIDIA RTX 50-series GPUs, including the RTX 5070 and RTX 5060. Samsung states the Ultra achieves up to 1.6 times better CPU performance and 1.7 times improved graphics compared to the previous generation, attributing this to a wider vapor chamber and a new dual-path fan system.
  • Displays: Both the Book6 Ultra and Book6 Pro feature 2,880 x 1,800 AMOLED 2X touch-enabled displays with adaptive refresh rates up to 120Hz and a peak brightness of 1,000 nits.

ASUS ROG Zephyrus Duo Targets Gamers and Creators

ASUS showcased the ROG Zephyrus Duo, a gaming laptop equipped with two 16-inch displays. The device is designed for gaming, content creation, and multitasking.

  • Displays: Both Nebula OLED panels support HDR with up to 1,100 nits of peak brightness, NVIDIA G-SYNC, stylus input, and high color accuracy.
  • Performance: The laptop is powered by Intel Core Ultra processors and NVIDIA RTX 50-series GPUs, configurable up to an RTX 5090, operating within a 135W power budget.

MSI Updates Gaming Laptop Lineup

MSI introduced updates to its gaming laptop range:

  • Stealth 16 AI+: This gaming laptop, designed for performance and portability, measures 16.6mm thick and weighs under two kilograms. It features NVIDIA RTX 50-series graphics, Intel Core Ultra 200HX processors, dual memory slots, and dual SSD bays.

HP Debuts OmniBook Ultra 14 and Omen Max 16

HP introduced new consumer and gaming laptops:

  • OmniBook Ultra 14: Positioned as HP's new flagship consumer ultraportable, this model measures 0.42 inches thick and weighs 2.8 pounds. HP reports it has passed 20 MIL-STD-810 tests for shock, drops, and extreme temperatures, featuring a forge-stamped aluminum construction. It includes a 3K OLED display and configurable options up to 64GB of memory and 2TB of storage. Processor choices include Intel Core Ultra or Qualcomm Snapdragon X2 Elite, with the Snapdragon version offering an 85 TOPS NPU for AI tasks. A vapor chamber is integrated for sustained performance. Connectivity options include a large touchpad, quad speakers, and three USB-C ports (Thunderbolt 4, DisplayPort 2.1, fast charging). It is expected to launch later this month, starting at $1,550.
  • Omen Max 16: A refreshed gaming laptop featuring Intel Core Ultra 200HX processors and NVIDIA RTX 50-series GPUs. It includes expanded thermal headroom and high-refresh-rate displays. Acer Expands Swift and Gaming Series

Acer expanded its Swift lineup and introduced new gaming laptops:

  • Swift 16 AI: This ultraportable laptop features a 16-inch 3K OLED WQXGA+ touchscreen with HDR support, a 120Hz refresh rate, and DCI-P3 color coverage. It includes a haptic touchpad, which Acer reports measures 175.5 x 109.7mm and supports MPP 2.5 stylus input.   • Other Swift Series Updates: The Swift Go 14 AI, Swift Edge 14 AI, and Swift Edge 16 AI will receive refreshes with Intel Panther Lake chips, while the Swift Go 16 AI will feature AMD processors. More OLED display options are being introduced across these refreshed Swift Go and Swift Edge models, which will also integrate contextual media controls into their mechanical trackpads.
  • Gaming Laptops: Acer is expanding its gaming lineup with the Nitro V 16S AI and the Predator Helios Neo 16S AI. The Nitro V 16S AI features Nvidia RTX 50-series GPUs, ranging from the RTX 5050 up to the RTX 5070. The Predator Helios Neo 16S AI also offers an RTX 5070 GPU and includes an optional OLED display. Both new gaming laptops will be powered by Intel Panther Lake processors.

Dell Reintroduces XPS Series

Dell reintroduced its XPS branding with a refreshed lineup, including new XPS 13, XPS 14, and XPS 16 machines. Specific details, pricing, and market availability have not been disclosed.

Alienware Previews New Gaming Laptops and Updates

Alienware previewed new gaming laptops and announced updates to existing models:

  • New Ultra-Slim Gaming Laptop: A new model was teased, positioned below the Area-51 flagships, measuring approximately 17mm (0.67 inches) thick. It will be available in 14-inch and 16-inch sizes. The 16-inch version is expected to feature NVIDIA discrete graphics and new CPUs, designed for a balance of gaming, creative work, productivity, and general use. Pricing, availability, and full specifications are pending.
  • New Entry-Level Gaming Laptop: An upcoming model is aimed at a broader market segment, expected to offer gaming performance at Alienware’s most accessible price point, potentially below $1,199. Full details are expected later in the year.
