CES 2026 Laptop Announcements: AI, Displays, and Performance

CES 2026 featured major laptop announcements highlighting advancements in AI integration, display technology, and performance hardware from leading manufacturers.

The event showcased new product launches, concept devices, and updates to existing lines, with a strong focus on next-generation processors and graphics.

Acer

Acer announced updates across its Swift, Nitro, and Predator laptop series.

Swift 16 AI: Acer introduced the Swift 16 AI, an ultraportable designated as a Copilot+ PC. The device features what Acer describes as the world's largest haptic touchpad, measuring 8.15 inches and supporting MPP 2.5 stylus input. It includes a 16-inch 3K OLED touchscreen with a 120Hz refresh rate.

Configurable with up to an Intel Core Ultra X9 388H processor and Intel Arc B390 graphics, it measures 14.8mm thick and weighs 1.55kg. Acer claims the 70Wh battery provides up to 17 hours of video playback. One model is currently available at Harvey Norman for approximately $2,999.

Other Swift Models: The Swift Go 14 AI, Swift Edge 14 AI, and Swift Edge 16 AI will receive refreshes with Intel's Panther Lake processors. The Swift Go 16 AI will feature AMD processors.

Gaming Laptops: Acer is expanding its lineup with the Nitro V 16S AI and the Predator Helios Neo 16S AI. Both will be powered by Intel Panther Lake processors and feature Nvidia RTX 50-series GPUs. The Predator model will have an optional OLED display.

Samsung

Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Book6, Book6 Pro, and Book6 Ultra series, emphasizing slimmer designs and enhanced thermals.

Galaxy Book6 Ultra: The 16-inch flagship can be configured with up to Intel Core Ultra X9 processors and NVIDIA RTX 50-series GPUs. Samsung states the Ultra achieves up to 1.6 times better CPU performance and 1.7 times improved graphics compared to the previous generation.

It features a 2,880 x 1,800 AMOLED 2X touch display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. Samsung reports up to 30 hours of video playback for the Ultra and Pro models. Pricing and release dates have not yet been announced.

ASUS

ASUS presented the ROG Zephyrus Duo, a gaming laptop equipped with two 16-inch Nebula OLED displays.

Features: Both displays support HDR with up to 1,100 nits of peak brightness and NVIDIA G-SYNC. The laptop is powered by Intel Core Ultra processors and NVIDIA RTX 50-series GPUs, up to an RTX 5090. It includes a detachable wireless keyboard and a built-in kickstand.

The device weighs 6.28 pounds, is 0.77 inches thick, and integrates a six-speaker system. Pricing and availability have not been announced.

Lenovo

Lenovo introduced new laptops and showcased innovative concept designs.

The company showed the Legion Pro Rollable, a gaming laptop concept with a flexible OLED panel that expands from 16 inches to 21.5 or 23.8 inches.

Another concept, the XD Rollable, expands a 13.3-inch OLED screen to 16 inches, with the additional display area forming a secondary surface on the back of the lid.

HP

HP debuted new consumer and gaming laptops.

OmniBook Ultra 14: HP's new flagship ultraportable measures 0.42 inches thick and weighs 2.8 pounds. HP states it has passed 20 MIL-STD-810 tests for durability. It features a 3K OLED display and can be configured with Intel Core Ultra or Qualcomm Snapdragon X2 Elite processors.

It is expected to launch later this month, starting at $1,550.

Omen Max 16: A refreshed gaming laptop featuring Intel Core Ultra 200HX processors and NVIDIA RTX 50-series GPUs, positioned as the flagship of the Omen lineup. Pricing and availability have not yet been announced.

MSI

MSI introduced updates to its gaming laptop lineup.

New Models: The company announced the Stealth 16 AI+, a model measuring 16.6mm thick and weighing under two kilograms. It also announced the Crosshair 16 Max HX, which combines Intel Core Ultra 200HX processors with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50-series GPUs and an optional QHD+ OLED display.

Dell

Dell reintroduced its XPS branding with a refreshed lineup including new XPS 13, XPS 14, and XPS 16 machines. Specific details, pricing, and market availability have not been disclosed.

Alienware

Alienware previewed new gaming laptops and updated existing models.

New Models: The company teased a new ultra-slim gaming laptop, approximately 17mm thick, to be available in 14-inch and 16-inch sizes. It also announced an upcoming entry-level gaming laptop aimed at a broader market segment.

Updates: The Alienware 16X Aurora, Alienware 16 Area-51, and Alienware 18 Area-51 will receive new anti-glare OLED panels and Intel Core Ultra 200HX processors. These updated models are scheduled for release in Q1 2026.
