Man allegedly goes on violent rampage at Sydney hospital, injuring nurse, police, and visitor

A violent incident at Prince of Wales Hospital in Randwick, Sydney, left multiple people injured on Saturday night. The 51-year-old suspect is accused of assaulting seven individuals, including three nurses, a police officer, a security guard, and a visitor.

The attack began around 8:30 PM, when the man allegedly caused serious injury to a nurse's leg. He then proceeded to assault two additional nurses and a security guard.

A 26-year-old woman visiting a relative was also targeted. According to police, the man used a garbage bin as a weapon against her. She was reportedly trying to protect another patient at the time.

Police personnel who were already present at the hospital for an unrelated matter intervened. The man then allegedly assaulted one of the responding officers.

The full extent of the injuries sustained by the victims has not been disclosed. The suspect remains in custody as investigations continue.
