Perth to Host Over 100 Anzac Day Services on April 26

More than 100 Anzac Day services are scheduled across Western Australia on Saturday, April 26, marking 111 years since the Gallipoli landing. The events provide opportunities for residents to honor military personnel who served and died in conflicts, wars, and peacekeeping missions.

Perth City Services

  • Dawn service: State War Memorial, Kings Park & Botanic Garden, 5:45am–7am
  • Gunfire breakfast: Government House Gardens, 7am–9am
  • March: St Georges Terrace, 9am–10:30am
  • Cathedral service: St Georges Cathedral, 11am–11:50am

The Kings Park dawn service is expected to attract over 25,000 attendees.

  • Commemorative address at dawn service: Brigadier Damian Bushell, Australian Army
  • Address at sunset service: Wing Commander Michael Moroney, Royal Australian Air Force

Northern Suburbs Services

  • Ellenbrook: Service from 5:30am, Ellenbrook District Open Space
  • Joondalup: Dawn service at Central Park War Memorial, 5:45am. Mayor Daniel Kingston stated the day is a time for reflection on sacrifice and community values.
  • Mt Lawley / Inglewood: Morning service at Mount Lawley War Memorial, arrive by 7:30am
  • North Beach: Dawn service at Charles Riley Memorial Reserve, arrive by 5:30am
  • Ocean Reef: Dawn service at Ocean Reef Marina, 5:45am
  • Osborne Park: Dawn service at Memorial Hall, 6:30am; parade forms at 6:40am
  • Quinns Rocks: Dawn service at Quinns Rocks Sports Club, 6am
  • Stirling: Anzac Eve service at Stirling Civic Gardens on Friday, arrive by 4:45pm
  • Wanneroo: Dawn service at Memorial Park, 5:45am. Mayor Linda Aitken described the day as an opportunity to honor all who have served.
  • Yanchep-Two Rocks: Dawn service at Yanchep National Park, 6:15am
  • Yokine & Joondanna: Afternoon service at Yokine Districts Bowling Club, arrive by 12:30pm

Central Perth Services

  • Bassendean: March from Bassendean Hotel at 10:30am, service at 11am at Bassendean War Memorial, BIC Reserve
  • Bayswater: Dawn service at Halliday Park War Memorial, 6am
  • Belmont: Dawn service at Faulkner Park, 5:45am
  • Mt Hawthorn: March at 10:50am from Flinders St & Scarborough Beach Rd, service at 11am at Axford Park
  • Mt Lawley: Service from 7:45am, Mt Lawley-Inglewood War Memorial
  • Victoria Park: Service at Victoria Park Memorial Gardens, 6am
  • South Perth: March, service, and morning tea. Service at 6:45am at Civic Centre Memorial Gardens, morning tea at 7:45am at South Perth Community Hall

Southern Suburbs Services

  • Applecross: Service from 6am, RSL Club
  • Armadale: Dawn service at Memorial Park, 6am
  • Bicton/Fremantle: Dawn service and gunfire breakfast outside club hall on Foss Street, 6am
  • Canning: Dawn service from 5:50am, Canning Districts RSL
  • Cockburn: Dawn service at City of Cockburn War Memorial (corner Carrington St & Rockingham Rd), 5:30am, followed by gunfire breakfast and march
  • Kalamunda: March from 11am, Memorial Walk Stirk Park
  • Mandurah: Dawn service at War Memorial Leighton Place, Halls Head, 5am, followed by gunfire breakfast and march
  • Port Kennedy: Service from 6:30am, Veterans Memorial Park
  • Rockingham: Dawn service at Flinders Lane, 5:30am

Western Suburbs Services

  • Cottesloe: Ceremony from 7am, Civic Centre
  • Mosman Park: Service from 10am, Memorial Park
  • Nedlands: Service from 9am, Nedlands War Memorial
  • Shenton Park: Service from 7am, Shenton Park Community Centre
