Huawei Unveils HarmonyOS Smart Glasses with Integrated AI and Camera

Huawei has introduced a new pair of smart glasses powered by its proprietary HarmonyOS operating system. The device integrates a camera, artificial intelligence, and a lightweight design into a standard glasses frame.

The product is priced starting at 2,499 yuan, equivalent to approximately $345.

The device includes a 12-megapixel camera capable of capturing images in 0.7 seconds. This is complemented by AI-assisted framing and first-person video recording functionality, allowing for hands-free content creation.

AI-Powered Assistant and Connectivity

A central feature is the built-in Xiaoyi AI assistant. It provides real-time video interaction and simultaneous translation across 42 languages, aiming to facilitate communication and access to information directly through the glasses.

Design and Build Quality

Focusing on durability and comfort, the frame is constructed from aerospace-grade titanium alloy. Weighing approximately 30 to 31 grams, the design seeks to balance robustness with everyday wearability.

Battery and Charging

Power is supplied by three built-in lithium batteries that provide up to eight hours of use. The glasses support magnetic fast charging for convenient power replenishment.
