A24 Announces Additional Cast for Elden Ring Film Adaptation
A24 has set a theatrical release date of March 3, 2028, for its most ambitious feature film project to date.
The studio has revealed a slate of new actors joining the cast of its upcoming film adaptation of the blockbuster video game Elden Ring. Principal photography began this week in the United Kingdom and is scheduled to last approximately 100 days.
The newly announced cast includes Tom Burke, Havana Rose Liu, Sonoya Mizuno, Jonathan Pryce, Ruby Cruz, John Hodgkinson, Jefferson Hall, Emma Laird, and Peter Serafinowicz. They join the previously announced ensemble of Kit Connor, Ben Whishaw, Cailee Spaeny, and Nick Offerman.
Alex Garland, who previously wrote and directed Civil War for A24, wrote the script and is directing the film. Sources indicate the project carries a budget of over $100 million.

Elden Ring is a dark fantasy role-playing video game developed by FromSoftware's Hidetaka Miyazaki, based on a mythological story written by George R. R. Martin. The game's plot takes place in the Lands Between and involves the shattering of a powerful artifact called the Elden Ring.
Since its release in 2022, the game has sold more than 30 million copies worldwide and received over 400 Game of the Year awards, according to its publisher, Bandai Namco Entertainment.
