Patrick Muldoon, an actor and producer known for roles in television series such as Days of Our Lives and Melrose Place and the film Starship Troopers, has died. He was 57 years old.

Patrick Muldoon died on April 19. His manager confirmed his death to Variety.

Muldoon was born in San Pedro, California. He graduated from the University of Southern California, where he played football.

Acting Career

Muldoon's early television roles included appearances on Who's the Boss? and Saved by the Bell, where he had a recurring role as Jeffrey Hunter in 1991.

  • He originated the role of Austin Reed on the daytime drama Days of Our Lives, playing the character from 1992 to 1995 and reprising it from 2011 to 2012.
  • He played Richard Hart on the primetime series Melrose Place from 1995 to 1996.
