Ordio Productions Upgrades Sydney Studios with Dynaudio Monitoring Systems
Sydney-based professional audio and acoustic solutions provider, Ordio Productions, has completed a significant refit of three studios at its Taren Point facility, installing Dynaudio monitoring equipment throughout. The company also has plans to open a new Dolby Atmos room, which will be powered by Dynaudio systems.
Owner Ben Wever stated the company's goal was to create a unique, boutique space where professionals could experience audio brands in a working environment. The studios function as operational showrooms, allowing clients to hear solutions in situ before making a purchase.
"When it comes to stereo imaging, finesse, fidelity, accuracy, and technical brilliance, these monitors deliver."

Wever explained that the setup allows for direct comparison between different Dynaudio monitor series, including the M Series MkII, BM series, LYD series, and Core series.
Regarding the M1 MkII monitors in Studio 3, Wever described them as suitable for broadcast, smaller post-production environments, and speech-focused work, citing their accuracy and lack of listener fatigue.
On the Dynaudio Delta amplifiers used in Studios 1 and 2, Wever commented that they are large, digital, and do not overheat, and that the DSP capabilities are "incredible."
Future Dolby Atmos Room
The upcoming Dolby Atmos room is being constructed in response to industry requirements from platforms like Apple Music and Netflix. Wever confirmed that quotes for construction, air conditioning, electrical work, and materials required for Dolby Atmos certification have been finalized.
The new room will be powered by Dynaudio equipment, including Dynaudio M3 MkII monitors for left, center, and right channels, passive models for surrounds, and an 18-inch Dynaudio sub.
Wever stated that the Atmos room will also feature equipment from other brands distributed by Amber Technology and will be used for training, seminars, and professional mixing sessions.
Business Context and Partnerships
Ordio Productions partners with Australian Dynaudio distributor Amber Technology. Ben Wever stated that working with Amber Technology has been a positive experience over the last 20 years, and specifically praised their support over the last five years.
In other business news, Wever reported that Ordio has been appointed the Australian and New Zealand distributor for a German-made acoustic product range called bluefiber and is currently building a sales network.
Wever concluded by saying the Dynaudio installation supports the Ordio business model by allowing each studio space to showcase unique equipment, reinforcing the company's position as a boutique destination for audio professionals.
