Olivia Rodrigo Debuts New Single "Drop Dead" Live at Coachella

Olivia Rodrigo performed her new single "Drop Dead" live for the first time during Addison Rae's Coachella weekend two set on April 19, 2026.

Rodrigo joined Rae on stage for two songs: Rae's single "Headphones On" and her own new track, "Drop Dead." After their performance of "Headphones On," Rodrigo addressed the crowd, asking, "Coachella, how much do we love Miss Addison?" Rae responded with a playful nod to her guest's new release, saying, "Oh my god, I might just drop dead."

The single is the first release from Rodrigo's third album, "You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love," scheduled for release on June 12, 2026, via Geffen Records.

Background on the New Music

"Drop Dead" was released early on Friday, April 18, 2026, accompanied by a music video directed by Petra Collins. Rodrigo recorded the album with producer Dan Nigro, who also collaborated on her previous award-winning albums "Sour" and "Guts."

Rodrigo is scheduled to host and serve as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live on May 2, 2026. This appearance will mark her hosting debut on the program, following her previous performances as a musical guest in 2021 and 2023.
