Teenager Charged After Fatal Pedestrian Collision in Shorncliffe

A 17-year-old boy has been charged in connection with a fatal vehicle-pedestrian collision in Brisbane's north-east.

The incident occurred on Friday evening at approximately 8:35 PM. The location was Sinbad Street, near its intersection with Allpass Parade, in the suburb of Shorncliffe.

A 38-year-old man from Sandgate was struck by a black Ford Focus. He sustained critical injuries and died at the scene.

According to police, the vehicle did not stop immediately after the collision. It continued across the road, drove through a fence, and came to a stop nearby.

The teenage driver has been charged in relation to the incident. Investigations into the exact circumstances surrounding the collision are ongoing.
