Ice Spice Alleges Unprovoked Attack at Hollywood McDonald's
Rapper Ice Spice posted on social media platform X on Friday evening about an altercation that occurred at a McDonald's restaurant. She wrote: "This wouldn't happen at a Wendy's," referencing her partnership with that fast food chain.
Details of the Incident
A video clip obtained by TMZ shows Ice Spice sitting in a booth at a Hollywood McDonald's early Wednesday morning.
In the footage, a woman approaches Ice Spice and appears to attempt to sit next to her. Ice Spice gestures toward the door. The woman then strikes Ice Spice.
Following the initial strike, Ice Spice pursues the woman by moving across booths and tables within the establishment. The altercation continues outside the restaurant, where Ice Spice appears to be pushed onto her back.
Legal Response and Statements
Ice Spice's attorney, Bradford Cohen, provided a statement to Billboard.
Cohen stated: "The unprovoked attack on my client has been reported to the LAPD and we will be pursuing any and all criminal and civil avenues to hold the perpetrators responsible for their actions."
He added that they are "also exploring holding the location responsible for their apparent lack of appropriate security."
"Not to mention that the individuals involved obviously did not realize that we would get the video from inside the McDonald's where the unprovoked attack occurred. They then turned their cameras on after the initial attack as if to set our client up, and as they say on the video to 'go viral.' The only thing that will be going viral for them is their mugshots."
Representatives for Ice Spice did not respond to a request for comment from Variety.
