First-Look Footage of "Highlander" Reboot Revealed at CinemaCon

First-look footage from the upcoming "Highlander" film reboot was presented by Amazon MGM during its presentation at the CinemaCon convention in Las Vegas.

The footage included behind-the-scenes material and action sequences. Filming for the movie is currently ongoing.

During the annual convention for movie theater owners, attendees were shown footage from the in-production film. The presented material reportedly included action sequences such as a fight scene at a rave, sword battles, and motorcycle chases.

Henry Cavill stars as Connor MacLeod, an immortal swordsman born in 1518 who is forced to fight other immortals at an event called The Gathering, where only one can survive.

The film is a reboot of the 1986 action movie "Highlander." The franchise subsequently included several sequels, an animated television series, and spinoff novels. This will be the first "Highlander" film released in theaters since "Highlander: Endgame" in 2000.
