Konica Minolta Launches New High-Speed Color Production Presses

Konica Minolta has announced the release of the AccurioPress C14010 and C12010 color production presses. Designed for high-volume print environments, these systems aim to bring advanced automation to demanding production floors.

The C14010 model has a print speed of up to 140 pages per minute, while the C12010 model has a print speed of up to 120 pages per minute.

Technical Specifications & Automation

The presses incorporate several key automation technologies intended to reduce manual setup and support unattended operation. These include:

  • Intelligent Quality Optimiser IQ-601
  • Automated Quality Adjustment (AQA)
  • Intelligent Media Sensors

The systems are engineered to help print operators work smarter by reducing manual adjustments and introducing automation.

The Intelligent Media Sensors automatically detect paper type, weight, and size to adjust print settings accordingly. Konica Minolta states these features are intended to ensure accurate color control and registration with minimal user input.

They support media weights from 52 gsm to 450 gsm, including specialty substrates like envelopes, embossed stocks, and polyester. For long-format jobs, the presses can handle sheets up to 1300mm in simplex mode and 900mm in auto duplex mode.

Intended Applications & Market

The AccurioPress C14010 and C12010 are suited for:

  • Graphic arts environments
  • Commercial print service providers
  • In-plant operations

They are designed for a range of applications, including banners, book covers, and direct mail.
