Man Wanted on Warrants Dies After Altercation with Residents
A 34-year-old man, wanted on multiple arrest warrants, has died in a Gold Coast hospital following an altercation with residents in northern New South Wales.
The incident, which occurred in the early hours of last Wednesday, is under investigation by a specialist police strike force.

- Approximately 4:40 AM, Wednesday: Police were called to Bellevue Avenue in Bray Park, near Murwillumbah, following reports of a person acting suspiciously.
- Upon Police Arrival: Officers found a 34-year-old man with serious injuries. He was being detained by two males on a footpath.
- Initial Medical Response: NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the man at the scene before transporting him to Gold Coast Hospital in a critical condition.
- Friday: The man died in the hospital from his injuries.
