A woman has been charged in connection with a theft at the Louvre Museum in Paris last month. Crown jewels, including the Parure Marie-Amélie diadème, remain unrecovered.
Charges Filed
A 38-year-old woman was charged on Saturday with complicity in organised theft and criminal conspiracy. She appeared before a magistrate, who will decide whether to detain her. The woman has not been identified by name.
Arrests Made
The woman was arrested earlier this week with four other individuals. Two men, who had been arrested previously, were also charged with theft and criminal conspiracy after officials stated they had "partially recognised" their involvement in the heist.
Details of the Theft
Jewels valued at €88 million (£76 million; $102 million) were taken from the Louvre Museum on October 19. The stolen items, including the Parure Marie-Amélie diadème, have not yet been recovered.
