Man Charged with Murder Following Fatal Altercation in Padbury

A 39-year-old man from Geraldton has been charged with murder following the death of a 69-year-old man in Perth's northern suburbs.

Incident Details

On Wednesday evening, police responded to a report of an altercation inside a residence on Buchanan Way, Padbury. Officers located a 69-year-old man with critical injuries.

He was transported to Royal Perth Hospital, where he later died as a result of the sustained injuries.

Investigation and Legal Action

The 39-year-old suspect, who police believe was known to the deceased, was arrested at the scene.

He has been charged with murder and is scheduled to appear before the Joondalup Magistrates Court on Friday.

Homicide Squad detectives are continuing their investigation and have urged anyone with information to come forward.
