Google Pixel 11 Tapped for Samsung's Advanced M16 OLED Panels

The upcoming Google Pixel 11 series is expected to be among the first devices to feature Samsung Display's M16 OLED display panels, according to a report by ETNews. This early adoption marks a significant lead for Google in integrating Samsung's latest display technology.

The Pixel 11's integration of M16 panels is anticipated to occur prior to their use in future iPhone 18 Pro models, a foldable iPhone, and even Samsung's own Galaxy S27 series.

Early Adoption & Release Timeline

The ETNews report indicates that the Google Pixel 11 series will be an early adopter of Samsung Display's M16 OLED panels. Google typically releases its phones in August, which could position the Pixel 11 to receive these panels at least a month before Apple's usual product launch schedule.

Currently, Samsung's Galaxy S26 series utilizes M14 panels. This suggests that the M16 panels may not be incorporated into the Galaxy lineup until the S27 series, which is expected next year.

M16 Panel Specifications and Pixel's Display Focus

The specific advancements offered by the M16 panel generation have not been disclosed.

Google has integrated Samsung's display panels into its devices for several years. Following the Pixel 8 series and the introduction of its "Actua" displays, there has been an increased emphasis on display quality in Pixel phones. Despite this, BOE panels continue to be used in some Pixel models, including the Pixel 10 series.
