ITM Taupo Super440: Event Guide and Schedule
The ITM Taupo Super440 Supercars event is scheduled from April 10-12 at Taupo Motorsport Park in New Zealand's North Island. Competitive Supercars sessions will run across April 11-13, featuring three high-stakes races alongside various support categories.
Brodie Kostecki currently leads the Supercars championship standings, following an impressive three wins at the Melbourne SuperSprint, part of the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix.
Ford drivers currently occupy the top four positions in the championship. Cameron Waters sits in second, Broc Feeney in third, and Matt Payne in fourth. Anton De Pasquale is the highest-ranked Chevrolet driver, positioned fifth.
Event Overview
The ITM Taupo Super440 will host three Supercars races, complemented by a dynamic lineup of support categories, including TA2, GR86, and Central Muscle Cars. Tickets for this anticipated event are readily available for purchase through Ticketek and the official Supercars website. It is confirmed that Formula 1 driver Liam Lawson is not scheduled to compete in Supercars at the Taupo Super440.

Qualifying Formats Explained
Races 1 and 2
These qualifying sessions utilize two consecutive 10-minute parts. The full field competes in Part 1, with the top 10 cars advancing to Part 2. The starting grid for each race is determined by the results of these two crucial sessions.
Race 3
Qualifying for Race 3 is structured into three distinct parts. Q1, lasting 10 minutes, involves all cars, with the top 18 progressing to Q2 (also 10 minutes). The fastest 10 drivers from Q2 then participate in an exciting Top 10 Shootout to determine pole position.
Race Specifics
Races 1 and 2
Each of these races spans 37 laps in length and requires a mandatory pit stop. During this pit stop, a minimum of two tyres must be changed.
Race 3
This extended event covers 60 laps and includes a more comprehensive pit stop requirement. Pit stops during Race 3 will feature both refuelling and tyre changes.
