Pearcey Foundation Announces New Chair and Director Appointments

The Pearcey Foundation has announced Jordan Green AM as its new chair, succeeding Wayne Fitzsimmons OAM. Helen McHugh, former president of the Australian Computer Society (ACS), has also been appointed as a director.

New Leadership: Jordan Green AM Appointed Chair

Jordan Green, a notable figure in the Australian startup community, has a background as a founder, entrepreneur, venture capitalist, and angel investor. He has founded or co-founded over 20 ventures and has been involved with the Pearcey Foundation since 2009.

Green has indicated plans to enhance the foundation's awards program and develop the Pearcey Museum, a virtual national computer museum.

Wayne Fitzsimmons OAM: Tenure and Ongoing Role

Wayne Fitzsimmons OAM led the Pearcey Foundation from 1999. Under his leadership, the Pearcey Awards became a respected program, and the Pearcey Oration a significant annual technology address.

Fitzsimmons will remain an active board member. He will continue to lead the foundation's Australia 4.0 initiative, which focuses on changes to the Australian electricity system for renewable energy integration.

Helen McHugh Joins the Board

Helen McHugh joins the board following her two-year term as ACS president. Her appointment is recognized for her ICT leadership experience and a personal connection to the foundation, as her father worked alongside Trevor Pearcey.
