Rapper Offset, born Kiari Kendrell Cephus, was shot and injured outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, on Monday evening. He is in stable condition at a hospital.

Incident Details

The shooting occurred after 7 p.m. on Monday, April 7, in a valet area outside the Seminole Hard Rock. The Seminole Police Department responded to the scene, contained the situation, and transported an injured individual to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood.

Police have not publicly identified the victim. A spokesperson for Offset confirmed to multiple news outlets that the rapper was being treated for a gunshot wound, was in stable condition, and was under observation.

Police Investigation and Arrest

The Seminole Police Department charged him with disorderly conduct—affray and a traffic violation for operating a vehicle without a valid license. He was booked into Broward County Jail and later released on bond.

Police and Lil Tjay's attorney, Dawn M. Florio, stated his arrest was connected to a physical altercation that occurred prior to the shooting. Florio issued a statement denying social media rumors, clarifying that Lil Tjay was not shot and has not been charged in connection with any shooting.

The second individual detained at the scene has not been charged. Police are working to identify other participants.

Offset, 32, is a former member of the Atlanta-based hip-hop trio Migos. The group rose to prominence in 2013 and was known for hits such as "Versace," "Bad and Boujee," and "MotorSport." They released four studio albums and received Grammy nominations.
