The incident took place around 5:00 AM in Martintar, Nadi.
According to local media reports citing a police spokesperson, Ms. Evans was standing on the roadside when a taxi collided with another vehicle, subsequently veering off the road and striking her.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Response and Remembrance
Virgin Australia acknowledged awareness of the incident involving a team member, stating its focus on supporting those affected.
Ms. Evans' family confirmed her passing and requested privacy during their grieving process. Her sister, Gabriana Evans, posted on Instagram, and Cabin Manager Lissy Hyde placed a floral tribute at the crash site.
Support Efforts and Funeral Arrangements
A GoFundMe campaign has been established to provide financial assistance to Ms. Evans' family and partner, aiming to help with funeral expenses and allow them time to grieve.
