Inquiry's Request
On Sunday afternoon, the Commission of Inquiry into the CFMEU published images of 15 men believed to have been present at a worksite incident. The commission has formally requested to speak with these individuals as part of its ongoing $19.7 million investigation.
This outreach is intended to ensure "all relevant perspectives are heard" regarding the event. The inquiry plans to interview the men at future hearings.

The commission stated that the men were at a "confrontational protest" at an Annerley Cross River Rail worksite on May 1, 2024. Investigators supplied the images after reports of an alleged or suspected brawl occurred at the location.
The 15 unidentified men, some of whom were wearing masks or other face coverings, were observed with known union members at the edge of the site along Cope Street.
