Woman Dies After Bus Collision in Adelaide CBD
A 39-year-old woman from North Adelaide tragically died on October 25, 2023, after being struck by an Adelaide Metro bus in the Central Business District. The incident occurred at approximately 5 PM at the intersection of King William Road and Victoria Drive. Police confirmed the woman died at the scene.
Initial investigations suggest the woman was retrieving a personal item from the roadway at the time of the fatal incident.
Investigation Underway and Witness Appeal
Major Crash investigators examined the scene, leading to the closure of King William Road for approximately five hours. The road has since reopened.
Authorities are appealing for witnesses who have not yet provided statements to contact them. Police also noted that resources are available for individuals who may require support after witnessing the event. Senior Constable Rebecca Stokes reiterated this call for witnesses.
