Apple Marks 50th Anniversary with Retrospective Video and Website Animation

Apple has officially marked its 50th anniversary with the release of a commemorative video by CEO Tim Cook and a dedicated animation on the company's official website. These initiatives collectively provide a comprehensive retrospective on Apple's product history, celebrating half a century of innovation.

Celebrating five decades, Apple's 50th anniversary is being recognized through a special video from CEO Tim Cook and a unique website animation, both offering a comprehensive look back at the company's iconic product evolution.

CEO Tim Cook's Anniversary Commemoration

On the occasion of Apple's 50th anniversary, CEO Tim Cook released a video through X (formerly Twitter). The video presents a retrospective of Apple products spanning 50 years, utilizing a distinctive vintage television aesthetic.

Products are displayed in reverse chronological order, commencing with the MacBook Neo from 2026 and concluding with the seminal Apple I from 1976.

Cook's tweet accompanying the video included a heartfelt message: "50 years of Apple, 50 years of innovation. Thank you to our teams, our users, and everyone who’s been part of the journey. #Apple50".

Website Highlights '50 Years of Thinking Different'

In parallel with the video release, Apple's official website features a prominent homepage animation. This animation, titled "50 Years of Thinking Different," also displays various Apple products to acknowledge the significant anniversary.

A Rare Look Back for a Forward-Looking Company

Tim Cook has previously communicated Apple's preference for focusing on future developments rather than past achievements. However, he acknowledged that the company's 50th anniversary constituted a sufficiently significant event to warrant recognition and a moment to reflect on its journey.
