The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that this 83rd wave of strikes, conducted on Friday, utilized long- and medium-range missiles and drones. The targets included sites in Israel and military facilities across the Gulf, some of which are used by US forces. Iranian agencies indicated that a maintenance facility for the US Patriot air defense system in Bahrain was among the locations reportedly struck. These actions occur amidst escalating hostilities and retaliatory responses between Iran and Israel.
Diplomatic Signals and Humanitarian Support Emerge
Despite the military escalation, Iran stated on Thursday that it had authorized transit through the Strait of Hormuz for "friendly nations," including India. This move indicates a limited diplomatic opening amidst heightened regional tensions.
Separately, members of the Shia community in Jammu and Kashmir, India, demonstrated solidarity with Iranians affected by the conflict. Residents in areas like Chanderkot in Ramban district and Budgam collected various donations, including cash, household items, ornaments, and livestock, to support those in Iran.
