Simon Introduces Styles on SNL

Paul Simon, a frequent musical guest and four-time host of Saturday Night Live (SNL), introduced Harry Styles' second musical performance during a recent episode.

Simon introduced Styles before he performed "Coming Up Roses" from his album "Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally" on the piano. Styles' first song on the same episode was introduced by Ryan Gosling.

Simon's previous SNL appearance was in 2018. He also performed "Homeward Bound" with Sabrina Carpenter at "SNL50: The Anniversary Special."

Harry Styles' Musical Influences

Styles has cited Paul Simon as a significant influence on his music.

In 2022, Styles stated that the One Direction song "Walking in the Wind" was an homage to Simon's album "Graceland." He highlighted its conversational and informal verse style.

Styles also mentioned that Simon & Garfunkel's music, particularly "Cecilia," was frequently played during his childhood.

Styles concluded the show by thanking both Simon and Gosling.
