macOS Tahoe 26.4 Beta 4 Delivers New Wallpapers and Emojis

The fourth beta of macOS Tahoe 26.4, released to developers, introduces new colorful wallpapers and additional emoji characters.

New Wallpapers for All Mac Users

The update brings forth a collection of vibrant wallpapers, previously associated with the MacBook Neo, making them now accessible for all Mac users. These distinctive designs feature bubble-style lines with colorful gradients, offered in Mac Purple, Mac Blue, Mac Pink, and Mac Yellow. Notably, the aesthetic of these wallpapers visually spells out the word 'Mac'.

Beta testers can find and apply these new wallpapers by navigating to the System Settings application, then selecting the Wallpaper option within the Pictures section. This release aligns with Apple's established practice of making wallpapers initially designed for Mac marketing images broadly available across all Mac models.

Expanded Emoji Character Set

In addition to the new wallpapers, the macOS Tahoe 26.4 update also enriches the emoji library with several new characters. These fresh additions include a trombone, treasure chest, distorted face, hairy creature, fight cloud, orca, and landslide.

Beta Availability and Full Release Timeline

The fourth beta of macOS Tahoe 26.4 is currently restricted to developers.

A release for public beta testers is anticipated in the near future, offering a wider audience the chance to experience these updates. The full update for all users is expected to launch in the spring.
