The Cupra Born electric hatchback has received a facelift, incorporating design updates, cabin enhancements, and an increased range. This update addresses certain features from the previous model.

Exterior Updates: Sharper Design

The Born now features Cupra's latest design language, including a revised front with a shark-like shape and new triangular Matrix LED headlights. The taillights integrate an illuminated Cupra logo within a full light bar.

New 19 and 20-inch wheels are fitted with 235 mm tires, which are stated to improve grip and handling.

Interior Enhancements: Comfort and Tech Upgrade

Inside, the haptic steering wheel controls have been replaced with physical buttons. The 12.9-inch touchscreen, introduced in a 2024 update, is carried over and now operates on a new Android-based operating system.

The digital gauge cluster has been enlarged from 5.3 inches to 10.25 inches. Material quality has been improved with redesigned door panels, softer surfaces, and recycled textiles. Rear passengers now have air vents.

Powertrain and Range: More Miles, More Power

The Born continues to utilize Volkswagen Group's MEB electric platform and now includes a one-pedal driving mode.

  • Entry-level Born Plus: Features a 58 kWh battery and a 187 hp motor (previously 201 hp). Its range has increased from 264 miles (425 km) to 280 miles (450 km).

  • Endurance (79 kWh battery): Offers an estimated range of 372 miles (600 km), an increase from 366 miles (590 km). This version includes faster 185 kW charging and a power output of 228 hp.

  • VZ hot hatch: Provides 322 hp while maintaining the 372-mile range of the Endurance variant.
