Oura Acquires Doublepoint
Oura announced on Thursday the acquisition of Doublepoint, a startup specializing in technology for controlling wearables through natural movements. This technology utilizes a combination of artificial intelligence (AI) and biometric data. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The acquisition aims to integrate these control methods into Oura's smart rings. Oura stated that Doublepoint's technology enables devices to interpret small hand movements, facilitating faster and more natural interactions across various interfaces. This is expected to allow for new, subtle features that operate in the background.
