Emergency services were dispatched to a residence on Midlow Road, Elizabeth Downs, at approximately 8 PM on Wednesday evening. Reports indicated that a nine-month-old baby boy was unresponsive. Paramedics attended the scene, but efforts to revive the infant were unsuccessful.

Investigation and Charge

Northern District detectives initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the infant's death. Following their inquiries, a 31-year-old woman from the property was charged with criminal neglect. She has been released on bail.

The charged woman is scheduled to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on April 14.
