Elisabeth Hasselbeck's Return to 'The View' Draws Audible Audience Reactions

Elisabeth Hasselbeck returned to guest host the ABC talk show "The View" this week, despite previously stating she would not return. On Wednesday morning, her comments during discussions led to audible reactions from the audience.

During a segment on Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem's testimony, host Sara Haines discussed immigration as a bipartisan issue that Noem had reportedly politicized. When Haines mentioned an increase in ICE's disapproval rating, Hasselbeck offered a direct comment:

"Because of the media!"

The audience audibly reacted to this statement.

Haines immediately countered Hasselbeck's remark. In the following segment, moderator Whoopi Goldberg and Haines discussed a scenario where they would not trust someone claiming to be an ICE agent while covering their face. Hasselbeck then interjected with another statement:

"This is the party of masks! You guys forced masks on everybody in the United States. Like, I don’t want to hear ‘You can’t see my face’ and, you know, I just can’t. I can’t. I love you, but I can’t."

This comment also prompted audible reactions from the audience.
